Nissan Juke R: First Image

Nissan released today the first real-life image of the Juke-R - their Nissan GT-R powered one-off crossover. So far we've seen a few design sketches, but today we get the full picture on Nissan's latest high performance vehicle. Since we have the first image of the Nissan Juke-R, it's obvious that RML (Ray Mallock Limited), who are the engineers building the car, have finished its aerodynamics package.

The Nissan Juke-R features a new front spoiler, lower side skirts, and a rear roof wing. Even though we can't see it clearly, we bet they kept the original two-part design of this wing, which we saw in the first drawings. Nissan's Juke-R features the same light alloy rims as the GT-R, but they've been painted black.

The Juke-R is equipped with huge ventilated brake discs and high performance Brembo calipers. Looking through its tinted windows, we can clearly observe a full roll cage.

The Nissan Juke-R is equipped with a slightly modified version of the GT-R's powertrain (engine, transmission and AWD system). Stay tuned since we expect Nissan to launch yet another video this week, which will show further developments of the Juke-R.

For those of you questioning whether or not Nissan will go ahead and put the Juke-R into production, we have to tell you they will. If there will be enough people interested in buying it, that is.

UPDATE: Nissan just announced they're going to build two units of the Juke-R: one left-hand and one right-hand drive. They also announced that the Juke-R will enter a testing phase this November.
