RML (Ray Mallock Limited), the guys building the Nissan Juke-R, released today a second video explaining the technology transfer involved in the process. In case you're not yet familiar with the Juke-R, we have to tell you that Nissan is currently building a Juke prototype, which will receive the same powertrain as the GT-R. To get back to today's video, RML is going to take the four-wheel-drive system of the GT-R, including the torque vectoring system, and engine, and put them in the Nissan Juke-R. The Juke-R will also receive the same powertrain as the GT-R, which will be shortened by 250 mm. To be able to fit all those components on the much smaller Juke-R, Nissan will have to give it a completely new floor.
At the interior, the new high performance, three-door crossover will get the GT-R's touch screen driver interface, its satnav and entertainment systems.
In the next video, RML will begin the process of actually building the Nissan Juke-R. Watch an explanation of the technology transfer between the supercar and the crossover in the video below.
