The Italian design house Studiotorino revealed today the new Moncenisio, which is based on the Porsche Cayman S Type 981. The Porsche Cayman S Moncenisio by Studiotorino had its world debut at the National Automobile Museum of Turin. The name of Studiotorino's new Cayman S comes from the Susa-Moncenisio race, which was the first hill-climb competition in the world. The Susa-Moncenisio race first took place on July 27, 1902, and it was won by Vincenzo Lancia in a Fiat 24 Hp. The Porsche Cayman S Moncenisio's price is set at a 145,000 Euros and only 19 of them will ever be built. As far as we can tell, Studiotorino did not upgrade the power nor the performance of their custom Porsche Cayman S. However, they gave it a serious styling makeover.

According to Studiotorino, the Moncenisio maintains the original structure, frame, mechanics, engine, emissions, safety and reliability characteristics of the Porsche Cayman S. This means that the Moncenisio is powered by a 3.4-litre flat 6-cylinder engine with 325 hp and that it can get from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.7 seconds when equipped with the PDK transmission and the Sport Chrono package.
