Yesterday, United Arab Emirates rally champion Muhammed bin Sulayem was involved in a rather serious crash while driving a Renault F1 race car on the Dubai Autodrome. Sulayem was supposed to race its Renault F1 car against a Ford GT, but just after the start, he lost control of the car and hit the barrier severly damaging it. The driver was not hurt, but the car need serious repairs.
According to Renault, the F1 car lost traction during start and when it regained it, did so unevenly which made it spin and hit the concrete wall.
