Last weekend, driver Daniel Ricciardo was involved in a spectacular crash during the Formula Renault 3.5 race at Silverstone. After he managed to get his 7th pole this season, Daniel Ricciardo was sent flying immediately after the start of the race. Jon Lancaster made an error, lost control of his racer and hit the side of Ricciardo's car. This sent him into a roll which eventually ended on the side of the track. Lancaster received a penalty for his mistake and had to start from the pitlane in the second race. Fortunately, none of the drivers suffered any injuries.
