Vauxhall revealed today the Mokka small SUV, which bound to go on sale on the UK market. Vauxhall says it will publicly premiere the new Mokka at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March. If you're anxious to see it, we have to tell you that the Mokka is just a re-branded version of the Buick Encore, which had its world debut today at the 2012 Detroit auto show. The Vauxhall Mokka has the same dimensions as its North American counterpart, but it has one additional engine. Apart from the 1.4-litre Turbo petrol engine (140PS and 200 Nm), the Vauxhall Mokka will also be sold with a naturally-aspirated 1.6-liter engine. The Mokka 1.6 has an output of 115PS.

For those of you looking for a diesel-powered small SUV, the Vauxhall Mokka will also be sold with a 1.7 CDTI turbo, good for 130PS and a healthy 300 Nm of torque. Vauxhall will sell the Mokka with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.

Just as Buick's Encore, Vauxhall's Mokka measures 4.28 meters in length and is available with an all-wheel-drive system. It also comes with several interesting features, such as Flex-Fix bicycle carrier, and front and rear video cameras.

If you're worried about storage space, Mokka has plenty of it. Apart from the 1,372-litres boot, the SUV also provides 19 other storage locations.

The Vauxhall Mokka's standard equipment list includes Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control (TC) as well as Hill Start Assist (HAS) and Hill Descent Control (HDC) systems. On its options list, the Mokka has Adaptive Forward Lighting (AFL+), a 3rd generation Bi-Xenon lighting system, High Beam Assist (HBA), the Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Forward Collision Alert (FCA) and second generation Traffic Sign Recognition.

The Vauxhall Mokka price list will be announced at a later date.
