Video: 2011 Mercedes CLS Review

The journalists from Autocar released today a new review of the 2011 Mercedes CLS, focusing on the CLS350 model. This version of Merc's 2012 CLS is powered by a 3.5-liter (3498 cc) V6 petrol engine which delivers 302 hp at 6,500 rpm and 273 lb-ft at 3,500 rpm. The engine of the 2011 Mercedes CLS350 sends all those horsepowers to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission. Event though the car weighs 1735 kg, the 300+ hp are enough to take it from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.1 seconds. The top speed of the 2011 Mercedes CLS, unless you're talking about the AMG version, is electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h). In terms of efficiency, the 2011 Mercedes CLS powered by this V6 unit promises a 40,9 mpg fuel consumption on the combined cycle with a 161 g/km CO2 emissions level.

The 2012 CLS350 is priced in the UK from 49,998 GBP.

The most immediate competitor for the 2011 Mercedes CLS is the Audi A7. Even though the clip says the BMW 5 Series GT falls in the same category, of four-door coupes, we don't actually agree with that.
