Today VW officially confirmed that it will premiere the new Volkswagen Golf VI GTD at the AMI (Auto Mobil International) in Leipzig. The Volkswagen Golf VI GTD is powered by a 2.0-liter TDI engine that develops 170 hp / 125 kW and has a top speed of 222 km/h. The Volkswagen Golf VI GTD needs 8.1 seconds to reach 100 km/h from a stand still and 5.3 liters of fuel to go 100 kilometers. The CO2 emissions level of the Volkswagen Golf VI GTD is just 139 g/km.

The equipment list of the Volkswagen Golf VI GTD includes a sports suspension, new alloy wheels, and various other appearance enhancements.

The Volkswagen Golf VI GTD will be joined on the company's stand at AMI by the new, fifth generation, VW Polo.
