2008 Audi R8 Price: 109,000 USD

The Audi R8 price was announced today for the USA market. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the six-speed manual transmission version of the R8 will be put at $109,000 USD when it launches this fall. The Audi R8 R tronic, which has a six-speed automatic gearbox, is priced at $118,000 dollars.

The R8 is the first mid-engine sports car ever produced by Audi. With a 420 hp V8 4.2L FSI engine and rear-biased quattro all-wheel drive system, the R8 has the performance capabilities unlike any Audi before it. With a zero to 60-mph time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 187 mph, the R8 is the fastest Audi ever produced.

The Audi R8 receives tremendous handling capabilities and the balance expected of a mid-engine sports car, thanks to its aluminum frame, body and 44:56 front-to-rear weight distribution.

The R8 is equipped with the Audi magnetic ride, automatic bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, LED taillights and LED engine compartment lighting. Audi’s R8 also features 19-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, power and heated leather/Alcantara sport seats, cruise control, Sirius satellite radio, and nine-speaker audio system. The Audi R8 price is increased by the Convenience Package. Paying a bit extra for this one will get you a parking system with a rearview camera, hill hold assist, a six-disc CD changer, HomeLink, Bluetooth phone, auto dimming exterior mirrors, and a storage package.

The Audi R8 is raised by the 12-speaker, 465-watt Bang & Olufsen sound system, Alcantara headliner, Audi navigation plus, and the Upgraded or Enhanced Leather Packages. The latest includes a leather covered dash and interior trim pieces. For the R8’s exterior you can get a metallic or pearl effect paint, carbon fiber sideblades, and body color sideblades. The R tronic automatic gearbox is also and optional extra.
