
Today the first images of the production 2012 BMW M5 F10 leaked over the web. Usually this means that BMW is getting ready for revealing the new performance sedan. According to our latest info, BMW equips the 2012 M5 F10 with a 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine developing 552 bhp and 680 Nm of torque. The engine of the 2012 M5 will be coupled with BMW's 7-speed DCT transmission. For driving enthusiasts, BMW will also offer the options of a 6-speed manual gearbox. apart from the two gearbox options, BMW will also offer two drive systems, as the 2012 M5 will be available with both the classic rear-wheel-drive and an all0wheel-drive system.
According to leaked specifications, the 2012 BMW M5 will have a top speed of 189 mph (305 km/h)
and it will have a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) acceleration time of 4.4 seconds. Several sources report that the 2012 BMW M5 will be able to get from 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h) in just 13 seconds.
The exact date when BMW will reveal the 2012 M5 is not known yet, but the company is expected to premiere it on June 23rd at Nurburgring.
In terms of styling, the production version of the M5 does not seem so different in comparison to the 2012 BMW M5 Concept revealed back in April.
The 2012 BMW M5 price list is expected start in Europe at around 100,000 EUR, or 144,000 USD in the USA.
