BMW released today the first promotional video for the much awaited, new generation, 2012 M5. The new high performance sedan Bimmer will go on sale in November, with a price tag of 73,040 GBP. The 2012 BMW M5 will be sold in the rest of Europe too, and in the United States, but the prices for these markets has not been announced yet. BMW's promo clip for the 2012 M5 shows the car in action on the race track and it also offers a new occasion to hear the sound of its twin-turbo V8.
The 2012 BMW M5 is powered by a 4.4-litre engine developing 560 hp at 6,000-7,000 rpm and 680 Nm of torque from 1,500 rpm. BMW's official specs sheet says that the 2012 M5 can get from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.4 seconds.
However, there's a bit of bad news. BMW limits the top speed of the new M5 to 250 km/h. If you want to go faster, you'll have to pay extra and get the optional M Driver's Package.
