Shelby American revealed today the 2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake, which is probably the most powerful model ever offered by the company. The standard version of the 2013 GT500 Super Snake develops 662 HP and 631 ft.-lbs. of torque, however, Shelby is also offering an 850 hp version of the monster. The new GT500 Super Snake (2013) is going to be available both as a coupe and as a convertible, but Shelby says it will build only 500 of them. The 2013 Super Snake comes with a 6-speed manual transmission with 3.31:1 rear axle ratio and short-throw shifter, an upgrade suspension, an aftermarket cooling package and a Borla exhaust system. The 850 hp version of the 2013 GT500 features an 850 hp Whipple supercharger or a Kenne Bell one.

The 2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake sits on 20-inch wheels, and Wildwood brakes (6-piston calipers in the front and 4-piston ones in the back). Additionally, Shelby equips the new GT500 Super Snake (2013) with a bespoke fiberglass hood, and various badges. Shelby announced that the 2013 GT500 Super Snake's price is set at $28,995.00 for the 662 HP model and at $39,995.00 for the 850 HP version.
