Shelby American revealed today the new 2015 Shelby Super Snake, which promises to deliver more than 750 hp. The 2015 Shelby Super Snake is based on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT and, apart from the extra horsepower, it receives a new independent suspension and a high-performance braking system. The 2015 Shelby Super Snake is the first of its kind to be sold with an automatic transmission. The new American muscle car comes with a bespoke body, an upgraded engine and a whole range of other aftermarket parts. The 2015 Shelby Super Snake is powered by the 5.0-liter V8 engine and with a choice between two supercharger systems. The entry level version of the new Shelby Super Snake (2015) features a Ford Performance supercharger and it delivers 650 bhp.
Apart from the supercharger, it is also equipped with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox, a Borla exhaust system, 20-inch WELD Racing Super Snake alloys, Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, and 6-piston Wilwood brakes. The top of the range, 750+ hp, version of the 2015 Shelby Super Snake comes with a Whipple or a Kenne Bell supercharger, and a more potent intercooler and heat exchanger system.
The 2015 Shelby Super Snake features a bespoke body kit too. It includes a carbon fiber hood and scoop, a modified rear bumper with an integrated diffuser, a large rear spoiler, and restyled side skirts. At the interior, the new Shelby Super Snake (2015) features a better quality upholstery, a 3-gauge dash pod and various badges.
The 2015 Shelby Super Snake's price is set at $49,995. This price tag does not include the cost of the base 2015 Ford Mustang GT. Shelby American plans to build just 300 units of the new muscle car.
