The Blue Oval revealed today the racing version of their high-performance 2017 Ford F150 Raptor pickup truck. The 2017 Ford F150 Raptor race truck comes with several upgrades in comparison to the standard version of the pickup. These include a racing-optimized 3-inch external-bypass for the front and the rear developed by Fox Racing, new springs for an increased ride height, a bespoke roll-cage, sport bucket seats with five-point harnesses developed by MasterCraft, window nets, and LED light bars. The race truck is also fitted with a racing fuel cell, a Lowrance GPS system, and a digital dash and data logger developed by RacePak. The frame of the 2017 Ford F150 Raptor race truck features more high-strength steel the standard version of the vehicle and it's also six inches wider.

The racing version of the 2017 F150 Raptor borrows from its production sibling the Torsen front differential, the dual exhaust, the 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels and the BFGoodrich all-terrain KO2 tires.

The 2017 Ford F150 Raptor race truck is powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine, the develops more than 411 hp and 434 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to a 10-speed transmission, a new transfer case, and a clutch-driven, on-demand AWD system with mechanical-locking 4WD. Ford's 2017 F150 Raptor racer is also equipped with a newly developed Terrain Management System that offers six settings:

-Normal mode for everyday driving
-Street mode for higher-performance, on-road driving
-Weather mode for rain, snow or ice
-Mud and sand mode for muddy, sandy trails and terrain
-Baja mode for high-speed desert running
-Rock mode for low-speed rock crawling.
