In the latest episode of Top Gear USA, the Stig tests the Ford F150 based Hennessey VelociRaptor 600. The Top Gear test track is usually a place for low and wide supercars, and not for pickup trucks. The Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 however, is not your average pickup truck. It's powered by a HPW 6.2-liter twin turbo engine developing 622 bhp at 5,600 rpm. Hennessey says their VelociRaptor 600 Ford F150 is able to rocket from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and that it's able to run the quarter mile in 12.9 seconds at 106 mph.
Even though the VelociRaptor 600 has the power to step into the ring with the supercars, a track review also requires precise handling. As we all know, the Top Gear test track is designed to show all the flaws of a car's chassis and suspension system.
