The Audi A1 has just been unveiled today and already the first Audi S1 rumor has appeared on the web. Apparently, the Audi S1 will be based on today's three-door model which will share some of the technology with the upcoming Volkswagen Polo GTI. The British press says the Audi S1 will be powered by a 1.4-litre, four-cylinder petrol turbo engine that will output around 180 hp. Top speed and 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of the Audi S1 are not known yet. To send the power to the wheels, the Audi S1 will use the company's new 7-speed dual-clutch S-tronic transmission. The Audi S1 will not be all-wheel-drive as expected, but it will have a front-wheel-drive system.
Other variant expected from the new model line include the five-door Audi A1 and the Audi A1 cabrio.
