Autocar has unveiled today BMW's plans for an eco-supercar called the BMW Z10 ED. The BMW Z10 ED info says the car will be a two-seater, developed by the Technik division, that will serve as a platform to demonstrate BMW's latest technology.

The BMW Z10 ED, ED stands for Efficient Dynamics, will be built as a limited series and will be priced under 90,000 Euros.

The BMW Z10 ED will be made from carbon fiber on an aluminum chassis with the intent to keep the weight to a minimum. To power the new BMW Z10 ED, the company is expected to use a new high-pressure turbocharged direct-injection straight six cylinder engine. No words on the power figures yet. The new engine of the BMW Z10 ED will probably be linked to the 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
