BRABUS revealed today the world's most powerful and fastest four-seater cabriolet - the 800 E V12 based on the Mercedes E Class convertible. The business end of the BRABUS E800 V12 Cabriolet is the 6.3-liter engine, which is based on the factory5.5-liter unit, that's been increased in displacement. The BRABUS 800 E V12 is powered by the same engine as the Mercedes S600, which has received a special crankshaft with longer stroke and larger pistons and an increased cylinder bore. Brabus also fitted the 800 E with 2 special exhaust manifolds with larger integrated turbochargers, four water-to-air intercoolers, and a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with four tailpipes. The 800 E also received a limited-slip differential with a 40% locking rate.

The result of all these mods is an output of 800 hp (788 bhp) / 588 kW at 5,500 rpm and 1,420 Nm (1,047 lb-ft) of torque. Brabus limits the torque output of the 800 E V12 convertible to 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft).

The official performance figures of the BRABUS 800 E V12 Cabrio say it can rocket from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds and to 200 km/h in 9.9 seconds. It can get from 0 to 300 km/h in just 23.9 seconds. Brabus estimates that the top speed of their Mercedes 800 E V12 Cabrio is 370 km/h (231 mph).



Brabus also fitted the E800 with new aerodynamics, including a custom hood, a new front apron with integrated LEDs, new front fenders to accommodate the wider track, and carbon-fiber rear fender flares. The BRABUS 800 E V12 Cabrio features a coil-over suspension system, bigger brakes and a custom interior.

Brabus did not announce the price of the 800 E V12 Cabrio.
