Chevrolet announced today the Sonic price list for the United States market, as the 2012 model year will go on sale this fall. The 2012 Chevy Sonic is available in two versions, sedan and hatchback, and three trim levels. The Chevrolet Sonic is powered by a 1.8-liter Ecotec engine developing 138 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque, which is acoupoled wit a standard 5-speed manual gearbox. Chevy will also sell the Sonic with a 1.4-liter turbo engine that promises to offer a fuel consumption of up to 40 mpg on the highway, when coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Chevrolet Sonic price list starts at 14,495 USD for the sedan and at 15,395 USD for the hatchback.
