Chevrolet is going to present seven new concepts at the 2013 SEMA show, which is going to start next week in Las Vegas. There are going to be three Sonic concepts, a Spark EV, an Impala, a Malibu LTZ and a Cruze. The Chevrolet Performance Sonic RS concept is inspired by the brand's legacy of high-performance vehicles. Ricky Carmichael is going to present an all-activity version of the Chevy Sonic. Chevrolet will also present new personalization options for the Sonic via a third concept. The Chevrolet Spark EV Tech Performance concept is a mini which is able to output as much as 400 lb-ft of torque. This is about as much as a 1969 Camaro SS muscle car with a V8 engine. The Urban Cool Impala concept comes with an aggressive exterior design, which the Malibu LTZ previews a new front end styling for the crossover.
Finally, the Personalization Cruze Diesel concept showcases a new aero package developed by 3dCarbon.
Here are the details of all the Chevy concepts that are going to be unveiled at SEMA this year:
Chevrolet Performance Sonic RS concept:
- A Stage Kit, cold-air induction and a high-flow exhaust system allow the 1.4L turbo engine to produce more power for a more exciting driving experience
- The engine enhancements are complemented by a track-tuned suspension system and higher-performance brake upgrade kit, featuring Wilwood front calipers
- The suspension kit lowers the ride height for a sportier stance
- Chevrolet Performance 18-inch, split-five-spoke wheels complement the lowered look with aggressive style
- Lemon Peel Yellow exterior with blue graphics; tinted headlamps and fog lamps; blue-accented window moldings and rear hatch trim
- Additional exterior accessories, including color-tinted grille trim, headlamp rings and mirror caps are available from Chevrolet dealers and complement custom graphics and other accents that can be easily duplicated by creative owners
- Re-trimmed seats in black leather, with Lark Yellow contrast stitching.
