In 2012 Chevrolet brings back the Impala with the new 2014 model year version. The reason the new Chevy Impala is a 2014 model is because it will go on sale in early 2013. The world debut of the new Impala (2014) takes place today at the New York International Auto Show. There is no information regarding its price yet. The 2014 Chevrolet Impala will be available with a choice between three engines. There will be an Ecotec 2.4L DOHC I-4 w/ eAssist version developing 182 hp / 134 kW @ 6,200 rpm and 172 lb.-ft. / 233 Nm @ 4,900 rpm and an Ecotec 2.5L DOHC I-4 model (195 hp / 145 kW and 187 lb.-ft. / 253 Nm). The top of the range 2014 Chevy Impala is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine, which is good for 303 hp / 226 kW at 6,800 rpm and 264 lb.-ft. / 358 Nm of torque at 5,300 rpm.
All three versions of the 2014 Impala will come with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Some of the highlights of the Chevrolet's new Impala (2014) include HID headlamps and LED DRLs, 18-inch wheels, an 8-inch touch screen display with MyLink, active noise cancellation and countless safety systems. Among those we'd like to mention adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, forward collision alert, lane departure warning, side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert, rear camera and rear-park assist.
Chevy's 2014 Impala also features a 4.2-inch color display integrated into the driver's instrument cluster, an Ultrasuede and perforated leather upholstery, OnStar and ten airbags.
