 »  »  »

Chevrolet facelifts the Traverse crossover for the 2013 model year. With a fresh new exterior design, exclusive safety features and improved handling, the new 2013 Chevrolet Traverse hopes to reach more customers than its predecessor. In terms of design, the new Chevy Traverse (2013) comes with new headlights and ear lights, a re-designed front grille and a brand new liftgate. The interior design of the 2013 Traverse is dominated by the new center console, with its 6.5-inch color touch screen. The quality of the materials used for its interior has improved. The 2013 Traverse features soft-touch plastics, and various chrome and silver styling accents. A new touch is its blue ambient lighting, which flows through the cabin, or so Ford says.

Chevrolet's facelifted Traverse (2013) has a 118.9-inch (3,019 mm) wheelbase, a 67.8-inch (1,721 mm) front track and a 67.4-inch (1,712 mm) rear one. Its power comes from a V6 engine, which is good for 288 hp (215 Nm) and 270 lb.-ft. of torque (366 Nm) when mated to the dual exhaust. With the single exhaust, the 2013 Traverse is rated with 281 hp/210 kW and 266 lb.-ft./361 Nm of torque. Chevrolet will sell the 2013 Traverse with a choice between a FWD and an AWD system and rates it with a 5,200 pounds (2,358 kg) towing capacity.

The 2013 Chevy Traverse is equipped with a third row of seats, which also leave room for 24.4 cu. ft. (691 liters) of cargo. Even so, Chevrolet says that its third row can comfortably accommodate three adult passengers.
