2012 Chevrolet Corvette Daytona

The 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Daytona prototype was unveiled today at the Daytona International Speedway. Chevy's 2012 Corvette Daytona will have its racing debut in the 50th anniversary of the GRAND-AM Road Racing Series Rolex 24 event, held from January 26-29, 2012. Chevrolet developed the new 2012 Corvette Daytona in collaboration with Pratt & Miller and GRAND-AM. Its chassis has been developed with Riley, Coyote and Dallara.

In terms of styling, the new 2012 Chevy Corvette Daytona features several design cues inspired by the street legal car, which will probably help boost its sales. However, we doubt that much of the commercially available Corvette has made it into the new Daytona prototype.

So far, no technical details of the 2012 Corvette Daytona have been released so far, but we expect them to come soon. The drivers who will compete in the 2012 Corvette Daytona will be announced at a later date.
