Kia revealed today at the 2011 Shanghai Motor Show the K2 sedan, which is based on the same platform as the latest generation Rio. Kia designed the K2 especially for the Chinese market, but the new sedan might make its way in other countries too. Kia's new K2 sedan measures 4370 mm in length, 1700 mm in width, 1460 mm in height and has a 2570 mm wheelbase. With the new K2, Kia is aiming offer plenty of interior space, as the sedan has a 500 liters luggage capacity.
The Kia K2 Sedan will be put on sale with a choice between two engines, the 1.4-litre and the 1.6-litre Gamma gasoline units. The Kia K2 1.4 will deliver 79kW with a 6.1L/100km fuel consumption, while the K2 1.6 develops 90kW and has a 6.4L/100km fuel consumption.
The Kia K2 price list and availability will be announced at a later date.
