Kia Rio B Spec

 »  »  »

The Kia Rio B-Spec race was announced today, before its public debut, which will take place at the 2011 SEMA show in Las Vegas. Kia is developing the Rio B-Spec, which is based on the 5-door version of the model, in collaboration with Kinetic Motorsports. If this name sounds familiar to you, they are the company that runs the Kia Koup in various stock car championships across the United States.

Even though Kia did not release many details regarding their new racecar, we can assume it's equipped with all the racing gear you would expect. It's clearly visible from the image they released that the B-Spec Rio comes with a roll cage, sport bucket seats and competition rims and tires.

We can also speculate that Kia equipped the Rio B-Spec with a sportier, and possibly adjustable, suspension system and bigger brakes.

We'll have more details on the Kia Rio Spec-B as soon as they're available.
