Kia revealed today the Naimo crossover utility vehicle concept at the 2011 Seoul Motor Show. The Kia Naimo is an electric concept, measuring 3,890 mm in length, 1,844 mm in width, 1,589 mm in height that has a 2,647 mm wheelbase. Kia's Naimo is a zero-emissions, five-door, four-seater city car that hopes to give birth to a new niche market. Some of the interesting design features of Kia's new Naimo include the wrap-around windscreen and asymmetric sunroof, and the front and rear dot-style LED head- and positioning-lamps. Kia says the general design of the Naimo was inspired by traditional Korean arts and crafts.

With the Naimo, Kia wants to inspire a premium feel. An interesting technical innovation brought

by the Naimo are the high-intensity air jets that replace the traditional windscreen wipers. The side mirrors have been replaced by cameras (they keep doing this for quite some time now, but we haven't seen these cameras on a production vehicle yet.)

The Kia Naimo is powered by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor developing a maximum of 80 kW (109 ps) and 280 Nm of torque. Kia says the Naimo has a top speed of 93 mph (150 km/h) and a range of up to 124 miles (200 km) on a single charge of the battery.
