Kia Provo Concept

We have to admit that the Kia Provo concept revealed at this year's Geneva motor show looks quite awesome. The Kia Provo previews a future coupe hatchback, which is powered by a 1.6 T-GDi turbocharged petrol engine that develops 204 PS. The engine is coupled with a 7-speed DCT transmission and a 4WD system that uses hybrid technology and a 45 hp electric motor. The Provo can be driven on electricity only at low speeds. Kia's new concept measures 3.88 meters in length, 1.77 meters in width and 1.35 meters in height. The exterior design of the Kia Provo is dominated by an aero-style splitter, carbon fiber body panels, an aerodynamic rear splitter with an adjustable vent system and LED lights. The Kia Provo was designed in Frankfurt for urban use and it's aimed at the younger generation.

One interesting technological innovations of the Provo concept are its programmable LED lights. Each headlight has 850 LEDs that can be used as DRLs, full beam lights and even race-style lights. Kia equipped the Provo with a wrap-around front screen and 19-inch alloys.

The Provo has a stylish black interior, with polished aluminum panels and carbon fiber accents. The doors are made of three layers: an outer panel, a carbon-fiber inner panel and a neoprene-covered inner section. The Provo comes with analogue dials on a programmable digital display. The central tunnel integrates the stop-start button, the drive selector for the gearbox and a Multi-Media Interface control.
