Nissan GT R Track Pack

Nissan revealed today the new GT-R Track Pack, which is available for the 2012 version of the model. The new factory performance package does not offer any extra horsepowers, and frankly, the car doesn't need any. It's already one of the fastest supercars in the world (0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds!). What it does offer is a few highly focused parts, meant to improve your track times. The new package keeps your GT-R road legal.

The new 2012 GT-R Track Pack improves the cooling of the brake discs on both axles. This is done through additional cooling ducts integrated into the front bumper and through new channels behind the rear wheels. Nissan says that the new track pack can reduce the temperature in the brake discs by up to 100 degrees during heavy use.

Nissan's track pack offers a new setup for the spring rates and dampers, which improves the car's handling and stability, and increases its cornering speeds.

For the interior of the 2012 GT-R, Nissan's track pack offers Recaro front bucket seats, lighter rear seats, and a special badge, of course.

The Nissan GT-R Track Pack price is set at £10,000 GBP, which you'll have to pay on top of the base £74,450 GBP cost of the car. Nissan will start delivering the new track pack from March 2012.
