After the Japanese company has released the images and the few details of their new Hybrid Tourer Concept all kinds of speculation started appearing. One of the most spread rumor is that the company is planning a Subaru Coupe based on Hybrid Tourer Concept. The new Subaru Coupe is also believed it will have an STI version. The new Subaru Coupe STI will be a successor of the SVX model which was introduced on the market as a competitor for the BMW M3. If this is the case, this means the new Subaru Coupe STI will have to be rear-wheel-drive.
The new Subaru Coupe STI will probably hide under its hood the company's 2.5-liter turbocharged boxer petrol engine that will be tuned to output in the region of 300 hp.
