UPDATE: The guys at Switzer Performance heard we want to see the Nissan GT-R R1k on the street and sent us a new video showing just that - the R1k doing a nice and healthy rocket jump / takeoff. The new clip is added after the jump.

Switzer Performance have finally matched the output of the Veyron with their latest upgrade program for the Nissan GT-R, called R1k. Yes, the Switzer Nissan GT-R R1k develops 1,000 hp from the 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine and the tuner has released the video to prove it. The Switzer Nissan GT-R R1k manages to output on the dyno 951 hp at the wheels and 804 Nm of torque. Unfortunately the clip shows the car only on the dyno. We're wondering what's the amount of 'damage' the Switzer Nissan GT-R R1k will do on the street / race track.

Of course, to get this monster level amounts of power the Switzer Nissan GT-R R1k has to go through a serious modifications process, which is also very expensive. The Switzer Nissan GT-R R1k price is just under the 60,000 USD mark, but keep in mind that it gets you a 1,000 hp car.

The Switzer Nissan GT-R R1k package includes various reinforced engine parts, new camshafts, a new intercooler and fuel injector kit, new turbos, a new manifold and high-pressure waste gates. The Switzer Nissan GT-R R1k also features stand-alone engine management system, a new intake and a

titanium exhaust. To manage all that horses, the Switzer Nissan GT-R R1k also needs a new transmission.

Watch the Switzer Nissan GT-R R1k on video after the jump.
