In the latest episode of their web-based car show, Fifth Gear reviews the latest Morgan 3-Wheeler. After Jay Leno, Fifth Gear offers a second opinion on Morgan's latest model, which is remake of a classic. Apart from the actual test, the new clip also offers a brief history lesson on Morgan and their 3-Wheeler, together with a visit to their factory. The new 3-Wheeler is a reinterpretation of the original model. Morgan employed the help of the same design principles, but used modern technology to build it, together with present day materials.
The Morgan 3-Wheeler is powered by a 2.0-liter V Twin fuel injected engine taken from a motorcycle, which is coupled with a Mazda 5-speed transmission.
With 115 hp under its hood, and weighing almost nothing, the new 3-Wheeler is able to rocket from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. If you want to have a bit of fun in the new 3-Wheeler, Morgan will sell one to you for 25,000 GBP.
