Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles revealed today at the 2011 IAA in Frankfurt the Caddy Edition 30 concept, which previews the model's anniversary version. Even though VW calls it a concept, the concept you see in these images will be almost identical to the production version of the Caddy Edition 30. In comparison to the standard Caddy, the Edition 30 features black roof, machine-polished alloys, an upgraded interior and a more powerful engine.

The Volkswagen Edition 30 concept on display in Frankfurt has the most powerful engine ever to equip the model. It's a 2.0 TDI unit, which outputs 125 kW / 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque, and its mated to a DSG automatic transmission. Th top speed of this concept is 196 km/h.

Volkswagen's production version of the Edition 30 Caddy will be available with TDI diesel engines developing between 75 and 125 kW, and a TSI gasoline unit with an output of 77 kW.

Volkswagen will equip the Caddy Edition 30 with machine-polished 17-inch alloys and various logos. The special edition model will be available in Candy White, Reflex Silver, Salsa Red, Primavera Green and Sunny Yellow.



At the interior, the Caddy Edition 30 will come with Alcantara upholstery, multi-function steering wheel, leather-trimmed gear stick and handbrake lever. Volkswagen will sell it as standard with semi-automatic (Climatic) climate control and tinted windows. VW's Caddy Edition 30 will be available with two seating configurations, with 5 or 7 seats.
