The Volkswagen Caravelle Edition 25 was launched today on the UK market, offering several distinctive features. The new special edition van comes with a standard Candy White finish, or an optional Reflex Silver metallic paint. The special features of the VW Caravelle Edition include satin black 18-inch alloys, xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and various satin black styling accents. The equipment list of the Caravelle Edition includes three-zone Climatronic air conditioning, voice activated satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, parking sensors, a reversing camera and the Lane Change Assist system.
Volkswagen will sell the Caravelle Edition 25 with the 2.0-litre Bi-Turbo common rail diesel engine mated to their seven-speed DSG gearbox and the 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. The Caravelle Edition is rated with an output of 180 PS. VW says it can hit the 62 mph (100 km/h) mark in 11.3 seconds and it has a top speed of 119 mph. In terms of efficiency, the Caravelle Edition is expected to offer a 34.9 mpg fuel consumption and a 214 g/km CO2 emissions level.
VW will sell only 225 units of the Caravelle Edition, at a price starting at £44,995 GBP.
