O.CT Tuning revealed today a new performance package for the Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 30, even though the popular German hatch has reached its seventh generation. O.CT is offering quite a serious power upgrade for the Golf GTI Edition 30, which takes the output of the 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine up to 365 hp and 500 Nm of torque. This is insane amounts of horsepower for a front-wheel-drive car, and we suspect the torque steer to be quite severe. However, 365 hp on a car the size of a Golf means it's quite a serious tool, if you're going in a straight line that is. To get so much horsepower out of the Golf GTI's engine, O.CT reprogrammed its ECU, installed a custom intercooler, and an improved air intake system.
The O.CT Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 30 comes with special spark plugs, an optimized injection system and a 76-mm racing exhaust system without a cat. Imagine the sound it makes.
O.CT also equipped their VW Golf GTI with a coilover suspension, and a carbon fiber engine cover. The price of this new power kit has not been announced.
