VW revealed today the new Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 35 to mark the anniversary of the very popular European hot hatch. As in the case of the previous 'Edition' models, the Golf GTI Edition 35 comes with extra power, as well as updated looks. In comparison to the standard Golf GTI, VW's new Edition 35 GTI develops 25 hp more, for a total of 235 hp.
Volkswagen's new Golf GTI Edition 35 combines the current model's design with various classic styling details. It comes with a new front bumper, branded aluminum door sills and various '35' badges.
Apart from the 25 extra horsepowers, the VW Golf GTI Edition 35 also offers a high-quality metal key ring.
The world debut of the Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 35 will take place at the 2011 Tuning World Worthersee at the beginning of June. The new anniversary edition Golf will go on sale later that month. VW prices Edition 35 Golf GTI at 30,425 EUR on its home market.
Volkswagen built the first Golf GTI back in 1976 and since than there have been two additional anniversary editions: GTI Anniversary Edition 20 and the 30th Edition.
