According to the British press, VW is working on the Volkswagen Phaeton Hybrid version which will be sold mainly outside the European market. The new Volkswagen Phaeton Hybrid info says the model will use the same powertrain as the new Touareg hybrid. If this rumor turns out to be true, the Volkswagen Phaeton Hybrid will have a V6 TSI petrol direct injection engine developing 333 PS and an electric motor. The power output of the Volkswagen Phaeton Hybrid will total a 380 PS and 580 Nm of torque. The Touareg manages to get with this engine to a top speed of 240 km/h and has a 0 to 100 km/g acceleration time of 6.5 seconds. The Volkswagen Phaeton Hybrid should at least match these numbers.
