At the end of last week, the 2011 VW Golf Cabrio has been confirmed for production by Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen. He has confirmed that the 2011 VW Golf Cabrio will enter production next spring at the company's plant in Osnabruck.
No details of the 2011 VW Golf Cabrio have been revealed yet, but we expect it to be a soft top, just like its predecessors. Putting the 2011 VW Golf Cabrio into production, will create 1,800 jobs at Volkswagen Osnabruck by the end of next year.
In terms of engines, the 2011 VW Golf Cabrio will most probably offer the same choices as the
hatchback. This means it will get both petrol and TDI diesel engines. As far as the top of the line performance model's go, no details have been revealed. However, if we're lucky, we might get a 2011 VW Golf GTI Cabrio and a GTD. This is pure speculation at the moment.
