Honda unveiled at the end of last week the 2012 CR-V concept, which previews the future generation of the SUV / crossover. Even though Honda released both images and videos showing the new 2012 CR-V, the one thing they forgot are the interior images. Maybe it's not ready yet. The first public display of the 2012 Honda CR-V took place Orange County International Auto Show in Anaheim, California, where the concept showed the general design lines of the fourth-generation of the crossover. The production version of the 2012 Honda CR-V will have its premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. The 2012 CR-V Honda will go on sale across the United States sometime towards the end of this year.

In terms of exterior design, Honda took a more

aggressive approach with the 2012 CR-V. The SUV features a more muscular front fascia, with darkened headlights, a new grille and underbody protection. The new front of the CR-V enables the SUV to have a more generous approach angle. The rear of the 2012 Honda CR-V has also been re-designed. It features new tail lights, a newly styled hatch and a new rear bumper. Apart from the new styling, Honda also claims that the 2012 CR-V has improved aerodynamics, which should reduce its fuel consumption. The 2012 Honda CR-V sits on 5-spoke machined alloy wheels and comes with broad fender flares.

So far, Honda did not disclose any details regarding the engines which will power the 2012 CR-V. However, they do mention it will be more economic than its predecessor, while offering increased interior space and comfort.

The specifications of the 2012 Honda CR-V production version, together with its price list and availability, will be announced at a later date. Meanwhile, watch the 2012 Honda CR-V Concept on video lower down this page.
