The world debut of the new 2012 Honda CR-V took place at the 2011 Los Angeles auto Show, as the new model prepares to go on sale on December 15th, this year. The 2012 Honda CR-V price list and its full specifications and options will be announced at a later date. In comparison to the previous generation of the model, the 2012 Honda CR-V has a slightly modified exterior design, with new headlights and taillights, a new bumpers and re-styled side skirts. Honda's 2012 CR-V is more spacious inside, and it features a new center console. It also comes with Easy Fold-Down 60/40 split rear seats, and a lower cargo floor height.
The Honda CR-V 2012 is powered by a 2.4-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine, with an output of 185 hp and 163 lb-ft. of torque, which is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission.
The new CR-V is equipped with Honda's Real Time All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) with Intelligent Control System, but it's also available with a front-wheel-drive system. Honda's 2013 CR-V is rated with a 23/31/26 mpg city/highway/combined fuel consumption in FWD form and with a 22/30/25 mpg city/highway/combined fuel economy in the AWD version. Honda equips the new CR-V with the Eco Assist function, which tells the driver when the car is being operated an efficient fashion.
