Chevrolet unveiled today, in the USA and China, the new generation 2013 Malibu. The 2013 Chevy Malibu comes with an updated design, a new engine and various other updates. The 2013 Chevrolet Malibu is powered by a 2.5-liter DOHC I-4 VVT DI Ecotec engine developing 190 hp at 6200 rpm and 245 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. With the 2013 Malibu, Chevrolet went with a Hydra-Matic 6T40 six-speed automatic transmission and apparently, they're not going to offer a manual version of the vehicle. The top speed and the 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) acceleration time of the 2013 Chevy Malibu have not been announced yet.
Chevrolet says the 2013 Malibu comes with dual-cockpit interior, which offers increased space for passengers and luggage, together with higher quality materials, and extra sound proofing.
The 2013 Chevy Malibu also comes with a new ride and handling package and the MyLink in-car infotainment system which includes such services as Pandora Internet radio and Stitcher SmartRadio.
Chevrolet did not yet announced the price list of the 2013 Malibu, but they announce it will go on sale in 2012. Meanwhile, watch the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu in action in the video after the jump.
