The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu had its world premiere at the 2015 NY auto salon, and it is scheduled to go on sale towards the end of this year. The 2016 Chevy Malibu comes with a fresh new exterior design and an updated interior. Chevrolet is going to sell the 2016 Malibu with two petrol engines and, for the first time, a hybrid powertrain. The Chevrolet Malibu hybrid is powered by a 1.8-liter direct-injection petrol engine and two electric motors, with a total output of 182 hp. The hybrid Malibu can be driven on electricity only up to speeds of 55 mph. The other two versions of the new Malibu (2016) come with a 1.5-liter Ecotec turbo engine with 160 bhp and 250 Nm, or a 2.0-liter turbo with 250 hp and 350 Nm of torque.
