Video: Corvette Crash at 2011 Texas Mile

 »  »  »

This video that just surfaced the web was filmed on March 25th, 2011, at the Texas Mile and shows a Corvette crashing at more than 230 mph (around 370 km/h). This is one of the most spectacular crashes we have ever seen, and what's more incredible is that the driver came out uninjured. The car is a turbocharged Corvette Z06 drag racer which is developed by Hinson Motorsports. after rolling several times and pretty much disintegrating his dragster, the driver of the Corvette got out on his feet. He was taken to the hospital for investigations, but he was later released.

The driver escaped this crash thanks to the strong roll cage fitted on the Corvette, and probably his helmet.
