2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Announced

Chevrolet announced today that the seventh generation of the Corvette, the C7, is going to have its world premiere on January 13th, 2013 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. To mark this announcement, Chevrolet revealed the Crossed Flags logo for the new, 2014 Corvette. Tadge Juechter, Corvette chief engineer, said that the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 is going to build on the success of the C6.R, which won the ALMS championship. This probably means that some of the technology developed in the race car is transferred to the C7 Corvette road car. Mr. Juechter also states that the new 2014 Corvette C7 has only two parts in common with its predecessor, the cabin air filter and the rear latch for the removable roof panel.

This obviously means that they're going to launch the convertible version of the 2014 Corvette C7 first.

The first Chevy Corvette saw the light of day on January 17, 1953 at the GM Motorama in New York City. Since then, General Motors built 1.5 million of them, all wearing the Crossed Flags emblem. Let's hope the seventh generation of the Corvette will inspire the same passion and as its predecessors.
