Chevrolet revealed the new 2014 Corvette Stingray during the opening of this year's North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Unfortunately, so far GM did not disclose a lot of details regarding the new generation 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. However, they did announce that it's powered by a new 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine that's good for 450 hp (335 kW) and 450 lb.-ft. of torque (610 Nm). Chevy says that the new 2014 Corvette Stingray is capable of getting from zero to 60 mph (just under 100 km/h) in less than four seconds, which puts it directly into the supercar category. The new Corvette Stingray (2014) is able to generate more than 1G lateral acceleration during cornering and it's expected to offer a fuel economy of up to 26 mpg (EPA).

This means that the new Stingray (2014) is the most efficient Corvette ever made. The new engine of the 2014 Corvette features direct injection, Active Fuel Management, continuously variable valve timing and an advanced combustion system.

The new Chevy Corvette (2014) comes with a 7-speed manual transmission with Active Rev Matching and a 5-position Drive Mode Selector that control 12 of the vehicle's attributes. The top speed of the new Corvette (2014) has not been disclosed yet.

In terms of design, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray comes with a completely new exterior and interior design. It has a much more aggressive look and frankly, we believe it to be one of the best looking cars on the market today. Apart from the incredible design, the 2014 Corvette is made from various lightweight materials. Its hood and its removable roof panel are made from carbon fiber. It has composite fenders, doors and rear quarter and carbon-nano composite underbody panels. Chevrolet built the new Corvette (2014) on a new aluminum frame that gives a car a 50/50 weight distribution. The 2014 Corvette Stingray comes with racing aerodynamics, and LED lights.

At the interior, the 2014 Corvette features various carbon fiber, aluminum and hand-wrapped leather parts, and dual eight-inch configurable driver/infotainment screens. The seats are offered in various versions and are built on a lightweight magnesium frame.

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray can be ordered with the Z51 Performance Package that includes an electronic limited-slip differential, dry-sump oiling system, integral brake, differential and transmission cooling. The pack also offers improved aerodynamics.

The 2014 Corvette's price has not been announced yet, but Chevrolet says it will go on sale in the third quarter of 2013.
