Mazda revealed today the new generation 2015 MX5 (MKIV) during an event held in Barcelona, Spain. We have to admit that the new 2015 Mazda MX5 looks absolutely stunning. The Japanese carmaker also released today its initial specs. The new Mazda MX5 (2015) is a full 100kg lighter than its predecessor. At the same time, it has a lower center of gravity offering event better responsiveness and agility. With such a low weight, the 2015 MX5 is almost just as heavy as the original version from 1989. Mazda equips the new MX5 (2015) with its full range of SKYACTIV technologies. These include SKYACTIV-G petrol engines and the first rear-wheel drive version of the SKYACTIV-Chassis. Unfortunately, Mazda did not disclose any specifications regarding the engines which are going to be available for the 2015 MX5.
Mazda says the new 2015 MX5 will go on sale next year. However, they did not mention a precise date. They keep the 2015 MX5's price a secret too. We'll have more details regarding the 2015 Mazda MX5 in the near future.
