BBR revealed today two new power kits for the Mazda MX5, which have been developed in collaboration with Cosworth. The BBR Cosworth Mazda MX5 Supercharged Stage One conversion is available for the 1.8i versions of the Mk3 / 3.5 and the 2.0i and it includes a new inlet manifold housing, and an Eaton 4th generation MP62 supercharger. BBR's kit for the Mazda MX5 also includes a new intercooler, high flow calibrated injectors and a replacement air box, competition hoses and fixings, and a StarChip ECU remap. With this kit installs, the MX5 2.0i MK3 gets up to 235 BHP / 190 Ib.ft, the 2.0i MK3.5 goes up to 241*BHP / 190 Ib.ft and the output of the 1.8SE MK3 / MK3.5 is increased to 217 BHP / 176 Ib.ft. BBR prices their Stage One power kit for the Mazda MX5 at £4995.00 GBP.

BBR-Cosworth is also offering a Stage Two power conversion for the Mazda MX5, which adds a stainless steel 4 into 1 exhaust manifold, a 2.5-inch stainless steel exhaust center section with a metallic sports cat and center silencer, and a rear silencer with adjustable 3.5-inch tailpipes. BBR's Stage Two kit gives the MX5 a high flow performance air filter and a StarChip ECU. The Stage Two BBR Cosworth Mazda MX5 Supercharged develops 252 BHP / 208 Ib.ft in case of the 2.0i MK3, or 258*BHP / 208 Ib.ft in the case of the MK3.5, or 231 BHP / 190 Ib.ft in the case of the 1.8SE. The price of the Stage Two power package for the Mazda MX5 is set at £6395.00 excluding VAT.
