Artega is back with two vehicles, the Scalo coupe and the Karo quad bike (ATV). The Scalo is basically an evolution of the Artega GT, which first came to life back in 2007. The Artega Scalo measures Artega Scalo measures 157.8 in. in length, 74 in. in width, 46 in. in height and it has a 97 in. wheelbase. It also offers 8.8 cubic feet of storage space. The power of the Artega Scalo comes from two Voltabox electric motors located at the rear that offer a combined output of 300 kW and 575 lb-ft of torque. According to the official specifications, these motors can rev up to 12,500 rpm. In terms of performance, the Artega Scalo is able to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). The Scalo comes with a single speed fixed gear and torque vectoring.
To juice the two electric motors, the Artega Scalo uses a 37 kWh Li-ion battery that offers a range of up to 250 miles.
The Scalo features a polyurethane and carbon fiber body, 20-inch alloys, and active rear spoiler, extendable flaps and LED headlights and rear lights. At the interior, the Scalo comes equipped with a digital instrument cluster, a moveable OLED touchscreen, a wireless charging antenna for your smartphone, gesture control, ambient lighting and an infotainment system. The car is also fitted with a system that generates a synthetic engine sound. The Artega Scalo's price has not been announced.
The Artega Karo two-seat ATC is also powered by an electric motor, which develops 38 kW and 74 lb-ft of torque. It requires 4.5 seconds to accelerate from nought to 60 mph and it has a top speed of 65 mph. The Artega Karo measures 81.7 in. in length, 51.2 in. in width and 45.5 in. height. The Artega Karo comes with a fiberglass body, a digital instrument panel and wireless recharging. The Artega Karo's price has not been announced either.
