The Italian design house Icona revealed today the Vulcano Titanium, which is going to have its world premiere at the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The one-off supercar's name comes from the fact that it features a titanium and carbon fiber body. The design of the Icona Vulcano Titanium came from the iconic Blackbird SR-71, which at one point was the fastest plane in the air. Icona says that it took more than 1,000 hours to build the body of the Vulcano Titanium by hand. The Icona Vulcano Titanium was built by Italian coachbuilder Cecomp, while the engine is the work of ex-Scuderia Ferrari director Claudio Lombardi. The supercar features a mid-engine rear-wheel-drive architecture. It powered by a modified version of the 6.2-liter V8 engine of the Corvette ZR1.

The base version of the Icona Vulcano Titanium develops 670 hp and 840 Nm of torque. Thanks to an Automac Modena close ratio gearbox it can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and to 120 mph in 8.8 seconds. Its top speed is rated at 220 mph. Upon request, Icona Vulcano Titanium's horsepower output can be increased to 1,000 hp. Icona did not disclose the price of the Vulcano Titanium.
