According to various sources, the Audi R8 GT has set an un-official Nurburgring lap time just over the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The GT3 RS made it in 7:33 seconds while the Audi R8 GT Nurburgring lap time was 6:34 seconds. On such a long track as the Nurburgring, a difference of just 1 second is mostly insignificant. It could even be caused by a stronger front wind.
The Audi R8 GT was helped to achieve this Nurburgring lap time by its V10 FSI engine tuned to output 560 hp and 540 Nm of torque. Apart from being more powerful than the regular R8 V10, the Audi R8 GT is also 100 kg lighter than his "more standard" brother. As a result, the Audi R8 GT manages to get from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 320 km/h.
