The journalists from the British magazine Autocar, are some of the first one to review the new Audi R8 GT. They reviewed Audi's R8 GT on the race track, testing its performance, handling and "fun factor". The Audi R8 GT is powered by the 5.2-liter V10 FSI engine, which is tuned to develop 560 hp and 540 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. apart from having more power than a standard R8, the GT is also lighter, weighing 1,525 kilograms. The extra power and lower weight of the R8 GT translates in better performance figures. Audi's official spec sheet says that the R8 GT is able to get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.6 seconds and that it has a top speed of 320 km/h.
The Audi R8 GT is priced from 193,000 EUR in Europe and from 268,000 USD in the United States.
If you'd like to own one, you’d better hurry, because Audi is going to build the R8 GT in limited numbers.
